Plenty to keep all entertained in West Berkshire today

ARE you looking for something to do in West Berkshire? Wrap up warm and get over to one of the many events happening in the district today.
After last year’s postponement, the Goring-on-Thames craft fair, held at Goring village hall from 10am to 4pm, is back – and will feature a range of products and crafts for sale.
The extension of the village hall also means that this year, there will be more stalls than ever to choose from.
If you want a break from browsing the stalls, a range of refreshments will be available, including Mulled Wine and a tempting selection of homemade cakes.
Elsewhere, an Open Day at the Old Bluecoat School in Thatcham will give people the opportunity to look around the building and buy homemade locally crafted goods.
Guests will also be able to meet the ‘knit-a-bit’ ladies, who come into the Old Bluecoat School every Thursday in term-time to knit, crochet, or practise any other craft.
There will also be spinning wheel demonstrations and explanations on the day.
Family fun is the order of the day at the Discovery Centre in Thatcham from 2pm to 4pm, with an afternoon of activities all about wildlife that lives on and around the lake in the winter months.
If sport is more your thing, there’s football action at Bulpit Lane, where Hungerford host Hemel Hempstead in the FA Trophy, while in the rugby, Aldermaston will entertain Thatcham in the Berkshire Cup.
