Pokemon Go continues to sweep through Newbury

Crowds gather in the town to catch and battle the monsters

Are these people all waiting for a bus or queuing to get into Document House? No! They are gathering to play worldwide phenomenon Pokemon Go....

The hit mobile game has taken the world by storm and West Berkshire is no exception.

A crowd was also seen outside The Newbury Weekly News offices, which is close to a Pokemon gym, this morning (Friday).

Players take on the role of Pokemon trainers and set out to catch creatures from the 1990s game, trading cards and cartoon series.

People have been sending their pocket monster adventures to NewburyToday.

Newbury resident Michelle Bulger, who described herself as an avid Level 18 PoGoer, sent in pictures of a Poliwag and Dratini on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

She also saw a Squirtle in Newbury town centre

Elsewhere, Gemma Goulding caught a Bellsprout in her Cold Ash home
