Exposure in Newbury: Police appeal for witnesses after man exposes himself to woman




A man exposed himself to a young woman in Newbury before running off.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses following this recent incident of exposure in the town.

The incident occurred between 3.30pm and 4pm on Wednesday (September 18), on the towpath opposite The Swan pub in London Road.

The man exposed himself to the woman, who is in her 20s, before running away towards Hambridge Road traffic lights, in the direction of Thatcham.

Investigating officer, PC Lily Turner, based at Newbury police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or has footage to please come forward.

“Additionally if anyone was driving in that area and has dash cam footage, please get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or report it online, quoting reference 43240449673.

A 42-year-old man from Newbury has been arrested on suspicion of exposure and has been released on bail.
