Police appeal after petrolheads race in Theale




Petrolheads descended on Theale and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The motorists’ activity centred on the road network around the village and the Arlington Business Park, with a focus on the double roundabouts off Station Road.

Their driving led to a large number of calls from villagers to the police.

The first was received at 8.07pm on Sunday, August 18.

Officers said the reports highlighted dangerous driving, disruption to residents, and the noise generated by the drivers.

Police arrived on scene at 8.13pm.

The car drivers them started to leave the area, with the majority gone by 8.24pm.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone with CCTV, dash cam footage or mobile phone footage to come forward. emails can be sent to PC Clothier on samuel.clothier@thamesvalley.police.uk with any footage.
