Police appeal for dash-cam footage and witnesses after driver of scramble-style motorcycle seen “pulling a wheelie” on A4 Bath Road in Thatcham
Police are appealing for help to identify the driver of a scramble-style motorcycle that was seen “pulling a wheelie” going the wrong way down a cycle path this morning (Saturday).
The incident happened at 10.17am on the A4 Bath Road Thatcham.
Police officers from Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward to help identify the rider and the registration plate of the vehicle.
In a post on social media this afternoon, they said: “At 10:17hrs today Saturday 12th October 2024 on the Bath Road A4 Thatcham Eastbound a scrambler-style motorcycle displaying a rear index plate was seen to undertake a long line of cars using the cycle lane, speed towards the next set of lights and undertake a dangerous u-turn at the crossroads of Northfield Road/Matthews Close and head westbound back towards Newbury pulling a wheelie in the opposite cycle lane.”
Officers also asked for anyone with dash-cam footage to contact them, quoting crime reference 43240491522.
