Police appeal following serious crash on A34 near Newbury on Saturday
Corsa collided with BMW after smashing through central reservation
POLICE are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A34 near Newbury on Saturday (June 11) which saw the drivers of both vehicles taken to hospital.
At around 9.50pm, a white Vauxhall Corsa was travelling southbound just after the junction for Compton when it collided with the central reservation and crossed through the barrier, onto the opposite carriageway.
It was then in collision with a blue BMW 1 Series which was travelling northbound.
Police say the driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, a 24-year-old man, sustained a broken leg, a ruptured aorta and other internal injuries, while the 28-year-old male driver of the BMW sustained a serious head injury and spinal fracture.
Both were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment and are currently still in hospital.
Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any other information which could help with the appeal.
