Police appeal for witness after crash
A 22-year-old man was hit by a car on the B4000 in Lambourn at the weekend
THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a serious injury collision which happened in Lambourn on Saturday night (November 5).
At about 9.50pm, a 22-year-old local man was hit by a blue Saab on the B4000, close to the junction with Uplands Road.
He was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon where he was treated for multiple fractures and a head injury. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
PC Gareth Miles, who is investigating the collision, said: “This collision happened on an unlit section of road and has left a young man with serious injuries, which will result in him spending a considerable amount of time in hospital.
“I have spoken to the driver of the car, who provided a negative breath test at the scene. No one has been arrested in connection with this inquiry.
“I would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or has information which could help our ongoing investigation.”
