Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses after Newbury restaurant Lusso targeted in burglary




Police are appealing for witnesses after a restaurant in Weavers Walk, Newbury, was targeted by burglars over the weekend.

On Saturday (June 5), at 4.22am, two males forced their way into the artisan pizzeria, Lusso.

The restaurant later posted about the break in on its Facebook page.

The two men were seen approaching Weavers Walk from the Poundland car park, and were later seen again near this location.

Nothing was stolen in the raid, although damage was caused to the property.

The men are described as being of medium build and both were wearing baseball caps.

One was wearing a yellow hoodie with grey jogging bottoms, while the other was wearing a black jacket with white writing on the rear shoulder and dark trousers.

Thames Valley Police administrator Claire Williams, based in West Berkshire, said: "If you heard anything around these times, have any knowledge of this incident or have CCTV or dash cam footage that may cover the area at this time, please contact us to assist with this investigation.
