Police appeal for witnesses after cyclist injured
Victim suffered collapsed lung but injuries 'not life threatening'
POLICE have appealed for witnesses to an accident in which a cyclist was injured in Thatcham this morning (Thursday).
The incident happened at 6.46am near Thornford Park Hospital in Thornford Road and involved a grey Audi A3 car .
The cyclist, a 32-year-old woman, was taken by ambulance to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke with serious, but non-life threatening, injuries including a collapsed lung.
Pc Mark Brazier, based at Three Mile Cross Roads Policing Unit, said: “The collision happened at a junction with an industrial park and there were several other cars in the area at the time.
“I would appeal to the drivers of these cars, or anyone who witnessed the collision, to come forward as soon as possible.”
