Police appeal to trace missing 14-year-old girls

Thatcham girl and her friend last seen yesterday afternoon

POLICE are appealing for help following the disappearance of two 14-year old girls.

Abigail Campbell, from Thatcham, and Georgia Winstanley, from Wantage, were last seen at Georgia's home yesterday (22/Sunday) afternoon.

Abigail is described as white, with a thin build, 5ft 6ins, with black hair.

She was wearing jeans and maybe a dark jumper.

Georgia is white, around 5ft 7ins, with strawberry blonde hair. She was wearing a white or grey jumper and black trainers.

Thames Valley Police Sgt Janine Vickery, who is leading the search for the girls, said: “It is out of character for Abigail and Georgia to be missing for this period of time without being in contact with their families.

“We are actively pursuing a number of lines of inquiry and sightings, but I would urge anyone with any information about their location to contact police urgently.”

Messages relating to the disappearance of the girls had been posted on the social network site Facebook today (Monday).

Anyone with any information about the location of the girls is asked to contact police via 0845 8505505 or anonymously on 0800 555 111.
