Thames Valley Police appealing for information about City Recreation Ground assault in Newbury




Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information relating to an assault in Newbury on the evening of Friday, February 25.

The victim, a man in his twenties, was assaulted while walking through City Recreation Ground on Andover Road between 8pm and 9pm.

He sustained a serious injury that required hospital treatment, but he has since been discharged.

Detective Constable Hannah Shailes, the investigating officer on the case, said: “I am confident that someone will have witnessed what happened so I am appealing to anybody who saw this to get in touch with police.”
