Police arrest man for damage to traffic barrier at Newbury Racecourse and offence at KFC in Newbury




The Newbury Neighbourhood Team have arrested a man today (Wednesday) for committing multiple offences against people and property.

He was arrested for criminal damage offences with his vehicle to the traffic barrier at Newbury Racecourse on four separate occasions and for threatening a member of staff.

He was also arrested for a separate public order offence at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Newbury.

Along with these offences, against people and property, he and a second male were also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B controlled substances.

Thames Valley Police West Berkshire said: "This behaviour will not be tolerated.

"We will pursue offenders that seek to undermine our community with the full force of the law."
