One of the local activities was community clear up days..

This was the first community clear up day and was run by Sovereign Network Group.

The Newbury Neighbourhood Policing Team were present offering crime prevention advice and sought feedback from the community,

They also created opportunities for Neighbourhood Watch and Thames Valley Alert sign up.

The community were able dispose of rubbish and bulky waste in skips and enjoy free activities for children and young people by qualified youth workers.

A coffee and catering vehicle provided free refreshments and snacks.

A variety of local services including the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service – who came with a fire engine – attended to advise local residents.
