Thames Valley Police end Section 60 order after serious assault in Newbury

Thames Valley Police has ended its Section 60 order in Newbury after a violent attack left one man in a serious condition on Monday.

The Section 60 order, which has been in place since Tuesday, ended at 9.30am this morning.

During the order, officers stopped and searched 32 people.

While no weapons were found in these searches, police hope communities will feel reassured that they are taking action to keep them safe by identifying and disrupting those carrying weapons.
