Police find two bodies in Sian O'Callaghan search
Wiltshire Police have announced that a 47-year-man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and two murders
TWO bodies have been found in connection with the disappearance of missing Swindon woman Sian O'Callaghan, one of which is believed to be her.
In a press conference at Gable Cross Police Station in Swindon at 5.15pm today (Thursday) Chief Supt Steve Headley for Wiltshire Police said:
"A 47-year-old man from Swindon is in custody, having been arrested for kidnap and two murders.
"The location of two bodies have been identified to me by this individual, one of whom has yet to be identified formally, but I am quite clear is Sian.
"I have informed Sian's family, who are obviously deeply distressed."
He added: "I want to recover these people and give them the dignity they deserve."
Miss O'Callaghan's disappearance since the early hours of Saturday morning prompted a massive search by police and volunteers of Savernake Forest, five miles west of Hungerford.
Police are continuing with their search of the forest.
Miss O'Callaghan, aged 22, was last seen leaving Suju nightclub in Swindon at 2.52am on Saturday morning.
Officers have also sealed off a house in Ashbury Avenue, Swindon, as part of their investigation into the disappearance of Sian O'Callaghan.
Police swooped on the address shortly after 1pm.
