Police helicopter spotted searching Greenham area in incident Thames Valley Police say is now resolved

There were reports last night of a police helicopter spotlight flying over Greenham.

Residents surrounding the Pigeons Farm Road area said in social media posts that they saw a police helicopter with search lights on, flying over nearby woods.

Some also said there was a man in the area, spotted with blood over himself.

Thames Valley Police have since reassured residents that the incident is "resolved".

Senior media and external communications officer for Thames Valley Police Jack Abell said: “This was in connection with a fear for welfare incident involving a man.

“He was safely located and the matter is now resolved.”
