Dog returned to Newbury owners thanks to Thames Valley Police

THIS wayward pooch has been re-united with its owner, thanks to Newbury police.

The West Berkshire team reported this yesterday, Friday: "Whilst out on patrol, we have located a dog which was found in the roadway of London Road junction of Hawthorn Road.

"Thankfully the dog is microchipped and has been handed over to Donnington Grove Veterinary Practice. Hopefully, returned to a happy owner."

A spokeswoman for the veterinary practice said that the adventurous canine has now been returned to its grateful owner nearby.
