UPDATE: Police investigate alleged robbery in Folly Road, Inkpen




UPDATE: Thames Valley Police is currently investigating a robbery which took place on Thursday afternoon.

Officers received a report of a robbery on Thursday at 5.10pm in Folly Road, Inkpen.

The victim, a woman in her sixties, was driving a grey Ford C Max when she stopped to speak to a man who was walking along the road.

The man told the victim and the passenger to get out of the car.

He pulled the door partially open and when victim pulled it back, he punched her twice in the face.

The passenger pulled the door shut and locked it, before they drove away.

The victim sustained bruising and swelling to her face, but did not require hospital treatment.

Police describe the offender as a man with a beard and wearing a black tracksuit.

Investigating Officer, PC Christopher Tayler, based at Newbury Police Station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help our investigation into this incident.
