Police investigate man's unexplained death




POLICE are treating the death of a man in Burghfield on Friday night as unexplained but not suspicious.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service, Philippa Kay, confirmed police received a call about the incident in Acorn Gardens at 11.57pm on Friday.
The police were notified, and spokesman Craig Evry said: “When police arrived, the man, who had been found in a garage next to the property, was being treated by paramedics, but he could not be revived. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.
The matter will now be handed over to the coroner’s office, which has indicated that the man will not be identified before tomorrow (Tuesday) at the earliest.
An inquest date has not been set yet.
