Police make arrests at street brawl involving 20 men at Newbury Racecourse Station




Police responded to a brawl involving 20 men in Newbury yesterday evening (Saturday).

Officers were called to an assault with injury following an altercation between 20 men at Newbury Racecourse Station, in Hambridge Road, at around 6.24pm.

They made four arrests.

A 58-year-old man from Pewsey, Wiltshire, was arrested on suspicion of assault of a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.

A 22-year-old man from London, Southwark, was arrested on suspicion of affray and wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

And two 22-year-old men, both from London Southwark, were each arrested on suspicion of affray.

All four remain in custody at this time.
