Four more arrests made by Thames Valley Police in connection with death of a man in Tilehurst on Hallowe'en
Four more arrests have been made in connection with the death of a man in Tilehurst on Hallowe'en.
A 23-year-old male from Wokingham was arrested on suspicion of murder.
An 18-year-old male from Reading was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender.
A 19-year-old female from Reading, and a 21-year-old female from Wokingham were both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They all remain in police custody at this time.
Thames Valley Police officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Romany Lane at around 10.40pm on October 31.
The victim, who died at the scene, has been formally identified as 22-year-old Reece Heffernan from Tilehurst.
A post-mortem examination has concluded that the cause of death was a stab wound to his chest.
There have now been a total of 11 arrests made in this investigation, with four people charged.
A 17-year-old boy from Earley has been charged with murder, possession of a bladed article and perverting the course of justice.
Hamzah Ahmed, aged 18, of Jubilee Road, Reading, has been charged with one count of murder and possession of a bladed article.
Tuviah Thompson-Hordle, aged 18, of Brant Close, Arborfield, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a bladed article.
Umer Arshad, aged 23, of Waterloo Road, Wokingham, has been charged with one count of perverting the course of justice.
All four have been remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on December 17.
Further, a 29-year-old man and two 19-year-old men, all from Reading, arrested on suspicion of murder have now been released under investigation.
