Police offer free online advice sessions on cyber crime
Online safety is the subject for a series of free online seminars organised every week by the police.
Members of the South East Cyber Crime Unit have set up an online channel on the Eventbrite website.
Each week, they cover a range of topics, including the risks of artificial intelligence (AI), online safety for parents and another for women and girls.
A fourth looks at cyber-related fraud advice, and there is also a session set up to help small and medium-sized businesses.
Places are free and can be reserved from logging on to Eventbrite.co.uk and searching for “Police - South East Cyber”.
The sessions take place on the Teams online platform, and last around an hour.
The project is part of a scheme run by Thames Valley, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex Police Forces, and aims to give people insights and best practices.
There will be discussions and a chance to ask questions.
Officers will also signpost additional resources that can be tapped into.
