Police officers in town handing out 'Bells for Purses' following increase in thefts in Newbury

Police officers have been handing out bells in a bid to tackle a crime increase.

Due to a rise of thefts in the area, the Newbury Neighbourhood Team have spent the morning in town.

This is a part of "Bells for Purses" which they shared, today, on social media.

As well as Newbury town, officers will be covering local supermarkets.
