Hampshire Constabulary raise nearly £20k in annual police memorial bike ride




A team of Hampshire Constabulary police officers raised almost £20,000 in a 220-mile charity bike ride in memory of those who have died in the line of duty.

The UK Police Unity Tour, which raises money for Care of Police Survivors, is an annual long-distance ride that finishes at the UK Police Memorial at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire.

Hampshire officers set off from the police training headquarters in Netley on August 18 and completed the challenge on August 21.

Deputy chief constable Ben Snuggs said: "It was an honour to complete this challenge for a charity so close to all our hearts in our policing family.”
