Police release image after physical assault outside a Market Place restaurant in Newbury

Thames Valley Police has released an image of two men that officers would like to speak to in relation to an assault in Newbury two weeks ago.

The incident, between the two men and a victim, took place outside the Blue Smokehouse on Market Place, Newbury on Saturday, March 16, at around 10.15pm

During this altercation, one man pushed the victim, with another punching him multiple times to the face and body.

Thames Valley Police said the victim required 'hospital attention' for his injuries.

After the incident, both offenders ran off towards Northbrook Street in Newbury.

Investigating officer based at Newbury police station PC Christopher Burr said: “We are releasing the images of these two men as we believe they may have information that could assist us with our investigation.
