Police appeal for witnesses following alleged sexual assault in Thatcham




A woman has allegedly been sexually assaulted in Thatcham.

Police are seeking a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault that occurred around 2pm on Tuesday, November 5, in Station Road.

Police say a woman was approached by a man who grabbed her shoulder and attempted to kiss her, before she managed to escape.

Police describe the offender as Asian, approximately 5ft 6ins tall with a short stubbly beard.

He was seen to be wearing a knee-length brown robe and a thick black puffer coat around the time of the incident.

Investigating officer PC Glenn Turner, based at Newbury Police Station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this sexual assault incident to please come forward.”
