Missing man Dean: Police and Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue extend search area to Greenham Common
The search area for a missing man was extended over the weekend.
Thames Valley Police officers and Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue were in the area of Greenham Common on Saturday as the search for Dean continues.
Police again urged the public to come forward if they have any information that will help locate him.
Dean, 34, was last seen on Saturday, November 11, at The Starting Gate pub in Brummell Road, Newbury, at about 9pm.
Officers believe that Dean walked from the pub to Northcroft Leisure Centre because of CCTV enquiries.
Due to the direction of travel, police believe he may have continued to walk towards his home in North Sydmonton.
In a previous appeal, the force asked for anybody who was in the area of Newtown Road, the A339 or the roundabouts by Tesco and Newbury College at around 9.30pm on November 11, to check their dash-cam or CCTV footage.
Dean is described as 5ft 8ins tall, of average build with dark blond hair.
He has a tattoo of a rose on his chest, the word ‘HONEY’ on his right hand, and a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.
When Dean was last seen, he was wearing a light blue hooded top and blue jeans, white Nike trainers and a red beanie hat.
Superintendent Helen Kenny, based at Newbury police station, said: “We are growing more and more concerned for Dean’s welfare.
“Officers have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks following the disappearance of Dean to establish his location.
“From CCTV enquiries, we believe that Dean walked from The Starting Gate pub to Northcroft Leisure Centre.
“Due to the direction of travel, we believe Dean may have continued to walk towards his home in North Sydmonton.
“Therefore, we are asking anyone in the area of Newtown Road, the A339 or the roundabouts by Tesco and Newbury College at around 9.30pm on 11 November to check your dash-cam or CCTV footage.”
She added: “We would also ask people in the local area to check your sheds, garages and gardens.”
Anyone with any information which could help locate Dean is asked to call 101, or report it via TVP’s dedicated missing persons’ portal, quoting reference 43230518718.
“If you see him, please contact us on 999,” police added.
