Police search Oxfordshire for second body
The search continues after police are understood to have found the body of Sian O'Callaghan yesterday
DETECTIVES are this morning (Friday) still searching countryside in Oxfordshire border for a second body after a body believed to be that of missing Sian O'Callaghan was found yesterday.
Roadblocks are currently in place on the B4507 near the White Horse in Uffington, after police yesterday moved their search of Savernake Forest to the area following the arrest of a 47-year-old Swindon man on suspicion of kidnapping and two murders.
The search moved from Savernake Forest to an area close to a remote spot near Kingston Lisle and Ashbury, Oxfordshire, at about 3pm yesterday.
The man who was arrested informed the police of the location of two bodies.
In a press conference at 5.15pm yesterday, Det Supt Steve Fulcher said: "A 47-year-old man from Swindon is in custody, having been arrested for kidnap and two murders.
"The location of two bodies have been identified to me by this individual, one of whom has yet to be identified formally, but I am quite clear is Sian.
"I have informed Sian's family, who are obviously deeply distressed."
Miss O'Callaghan, aged 22, had not been seen since she left a nightclub in Swindon early on Saturday morning.
