Thames Valley Police seek information after thieves target Deichmann store at Newbury Retail Park




Thames Valley Police has confirmed it responded to a report of shoplifting at the Deichmann store at Newbury Retail Park.

The incident took place at around 5.10pm on Monday (May 22).

But a police spokesperson said it is “unclear what was stolen” and is appealing to the public for any information which could assist in locating the offenders.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson told newburytoday: “We received a report of shoplifting at Deichmann in Newbury Retail Park in Pinchington Lane, Newbury, at around 5.10pm on Monday, May 22.

“It is unclear what was stolen.”

A concerned worker at the retail park, who wishes to remain anonymous, claims shoplifters have targeted other stores at the site over the past month, saying they have pursued offenders themselves on multiple occasions.

“It’s a joke,” they said. “I don’t see it getting any better.”
