Police seek witnesses to Lambourn fatality

POLICE are urging witnesses to a fatal collision in Lambourn yesterday (Sunday) evening to come forward.
An 83-year-old woman has died following a crash in Lambourn High Street.
The woman was driving a red Nissan Micra southbound along the High Street when she was in collision with a stationary recovery truck just before 6pm.
The truck, which had been travelling northbound, had stopped to allow motorists coming in the opposite direction to overtake parked cars.
The victim, who is from the local area, died at the scene.
The High Street was closed shortly after the incident and re-opened just after 10.30pm.
