Police seize cocaine and ecstasy in swoop on A34 vehicle near Burghclere





According to Hampshire Constabulary, shortly after 1.15pm on Friday, January 23, officers from the Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle which was travelling along the A34, near Tothill Services.
Following a search of the vehicle, police discovered a large amount of cocaine and ecstasy.
A 33-year-old man from Southampton was arrested for intent to supply class A drugs and bailed pending further enquires until March 30.
Sergeant Lyndon Barrett said: “Illegal drugs have a devastating impact on our local communities.
“Whenever possible we will take proactive measures to disrupt individuals bringing illegal drugs into Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.”
