Vehicle driven without insurance seized in Hungerford by Thames Valley Police officers

A vehicle was seized by police officers in Hungerford High Street yesterday (Sunday) after its driver was found using it without insurance.

Thames Valley Police reported the seizure on a dedicated Twitter account covering the West Berkshire area, although it did not disclose the time or any further details about the vehicle.

If caught, uninsured drivers could face a fine of £300 and six penalty points, with disqualification and an unlimited fine on the table if their case goes to court.

Their vehicles could also be seized and destroyed by police.
