Police issue fines and points to drivers after stops at Newbury bridge

Thames Valley Police officers conducted stops at the American Bridge in Newbury yesterday (Monday), issuing fines and points to drivers.

PCSOs Steve Vaughan and Phil Lewis stopped 10 vehicles in all at the bridge linking Park Way to the Wharf.

Verbal warnings were given to some motorists.

One fine was issued, and six points were dished out to persons driving without insurance.

The operation was announced via social media.
