Man wanted for bilking over 100 litres of fuel from Tesco Extra in Newbury’s Pinchington Lane
Thames Valley Police is currently searching for a man suspected of bilking over 100 litres worth of fuel from a Newbury petrol station.
Police say the offender put just over 100 litres of fuel, worth £147, in his van with cloned number plates before driving off without paying.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “We received a report of bilking at Tesco Extra petrol station in Pinchington Lane, Newbury, at around 3.50pm yesterday, May 23.
“At around 2.50pm, an offender put just over 100 litres of fuel, worth £147, in a van with cloned number plates before driving off in the van.
“The offender is described as a white male, around five-foot, seven-inches tall, of medium build, and wearing dark clothing, including a black baseball cap.
“The report has been filed pending further information coming to light.”
