Police warning over vehicle thefts
Van break-in is latest in spate of incidents
POLICE have appealed to vehicle owners to be especially alert following theft from a van in Hungerford.
The incident happened at Chilton Way in the early hours of Wednesday, February 1.
The van was damaged and tools stolen from inside the vehicle between 3am and 6.30am.
The offenders caused damage to the driver door and rear door to gain entry and steal work tools.
The tools consisted of two drills and drill peices.
Neighbourhood officer Pc Claire Drewitt said: "We're continuing to recieve reports of theft from motor vehicles, work vans appear to be targetted.
"We'd like tp remind everyone to empty their vans at night and to be extra vigilant at this time. We would like to hear from anyone who has any information."
