POLL: Thatcham's best dressed Christmas window competition
Just like that, a whole year has passed and it is, again, time to choose the Thatcham’s best dressed Christmas window.
The Newbury Weekly News is delighted to partner with Thatcham Town Council for another year of the Christmas competition.
The people's vote is now open and closes on December 12 with eight businesses dressing up their windows hoping to be crowned winners.
Last year, the theme was Christmas movies, with House of Cards being crowned winners after receiving 373 votes, trumping the 11 other businesses that took part.
This year, the theme of a ‘Royal Christmas’ has been chosen.
Mayor of Thatcham Jeff Brooks chose the theme, calling it a ‘natural’ choice with the Platinum Jubilee, the passing of the Queen, proclamation and eventual coronation – not to mention a new season of The Crown.
“We are in touch with the royal family this year,” he said.
Who will be the heir to the people’s window award? Take a trip through the town to have a look or scroll through our photographs below and vote for your favourite.
Remember that the vote will close at noon on Monday, December 12. Any votes after this time will not be counted.
Update: The voting has now closed.
Happy voting!
