What to do at half-term? Head over to Newbury’s Corn Exchange




THIS half-term at Corn Exchange there are some fantastic shows on offer for the whole family.

Young music fans can experience the joy of a live concert at Pop Princesses on Sunday or wizarding fun at Spontaneous Potter Kidz/Adults (Monday, 2.30pm and 7.30pm).

There is family ballet in Ballet Cymru’s Roald Dahl’s Little Red Riding Hood & The Three Little Pigs (Thursday) and conjuring capers in Morgan & West’s Massive Magic Show for Kids (Saturday 28).

There are also two performances of exhilarating Irish Dance in Emerald Storm today (Saturday), and musical theatre lovers can enjoy Lee Mead: Best Of Me (on Wednesday).

There are a number of courses on offer for young people at the Learning Centre to spark their creativity over the half term break.

Join Create And Make (Monday to Friday), a session full of arts, crafts, drama and much more or get creative with the whole family at 101 Outdoor Arts for Pumpkin Carving (Sunday 29) pumpkins, tools and decorative materials are included.

The Base also has some exciting activities on offer to keep young people entertained with Half Term Art Club (Monday to Thursday), Children’s Hallowe’en Printmaking (Saturday 28) and Childrens Screen Print A Hallowe’en T-shirt (Sunday 29). These courses are a great way to get the family into the spooky spirit.

The Base also has a bold, colourful and historically inspired exhibition 20 Historical Women Who Changed The World, featuring the works of Nigerian-born Doncaster artist Chinwe Russell. Under-18s can visit this fantastic exhibition for free, with standard entry at just £6.75.
