Bill’s Café Bar Newbury in Market Place re-opens after month of renovation work
A popular Newbury town centre restaurant has re-opened after a month of renovation work.
Bill’s Café Bar, located at 16-18 Market Place, re-opened its doors to hungry customers yesterday (Monday) with a brand new interior and a new way of ordering.
The national chain has also introduced a happy hour to its menu, which allows guests to purchase selected alcoholic drinks and small plates for £5 from 4pm to 7pm, Sunday to Friday.
A Bill’s spokesperson said: “Over the past month, Bill’s Newbury has been undergoing a transformation to incorporate a brand-new bar area, perfect for date-night or unwinding after a busy day, a lounge space for chilling out to catch up with friends or get into the nitty-gritty tasks away from the office or home, and dining area for those who love to wine and dine, or just dine too.”
Alongside these interior changes, the restaurant has done away with traditional table service.
Customers can now place their order via scanning a QR code on their table and choosing from the menu online, or they can place an order at the bar with the Bill’s team.
Additions have also been made to the menu, with new sharing platters, café specials, toasties, cakes, pastries and more being included.
Bill’s has also collated a list of favourite dishes that can be enjoyed for £10 (as opposed to their regular price on the menu) on offer from 7.30pm Sunday to Thursday.
This list includes various burgers, the Santorini salad, ‘nduja and burrata pasta and halloumi shawarma.
For those who enjoy some fizz, on both Saturdays and Sundays a bottle of Mionetto Prosecco is on offer for £17.50 from 10am to 5pm.
Bill’s Café Bar Newbury is open from 8am to 10pm on Monday to Saturday, and on Sundays and bank holidays from 9am to 9pm.
