Northfield Road Post Office in Thatcham temporarily closing

Northfield Road Post Office in Thatcham will be closed temporarily in October.

It is shutting for extensive building work at the premises of Tesco Express.

The branch will close temporarily on Thursday, October 19, at 1pm.

The Post Office said the work – on the retail side of the store – will take around six weeks to complete.

It is due to reopen on Saturday, November 25, at 9am.

During the work, the nearest alternative branches are Thatcham Post Office in the Broadway, Cold Ash Post Office on Cold Ash Hill and Turnpike Estate Post Office on Avon Way.

Post Office partner account manager Daniel Rooney said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.

“The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily.”
