Power cut in Wash Common

Update: The power has been restored according to the SSEN website.

There is currently a power cut in Wash Common affecting a number of homes and businesses.

Parts of Andover Road have been affected all the way on to Monks Lane.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has called it an unplanned outage.

The power cut has been logged and an engineer is on site.

The outage was reported at 10.44am today (Thursday) and SSEN said it will aim to restore the power by 2pm this afternoon.

SSEN said: "We're sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.

"Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
