Power restored to hundreds of Curridge properties

Fallen tree brings down power line
OVER 200 Curridge villagers were without electricity supplies today (Wed) after a tree brought power lines down.
Southern Energy spokeswoman, Emily MacDonald, confirmed 215 properties in the Curridge Road area were affected by the power cut:
"We are hoping to have supplies restored by 3pm said Ms MacDonald.
"We’d like to apologise to anybody affected and thank them for their patience while we work to get the power back on as quickly and safely as possible."
Firefighters from Newbury Fire Station were also called to the incident at around 8am today.
UPDATE 4.30pm.
Power supplies have been restored in Curridge, according to social media.
