Power restored to Kintbury properties

Southern Electric has confirmed that power was restored to all properties affected by 12.50pm today (Wednesday)

POWER has now been restored to almost 1,200 properties that were affected by a power cut in Kintbury earlier today (Wednesday).

At about 4.30am this morning, Southern Electric received reports of a power cut in the area, which the electricity company said was caused by a fault with an underground cable.

Southern Electric spokeswoman, Sam O'Connor, said mobile generators were brought in to restore power to those properties affected, adding that supplies were restored to all properties by 12.50pm.

Meanwhile, she added that engineers were still on site to try and repair the fault, adding that they were likely to remain in the area until later tonight.
