Beenham Pre-School maintains ‘Good’ Ofsted rating

A pre-school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted again.

In January, an inspector visited the Beenham Pre-School and praised staff for creating a “meaningful and engaging curriculum” and giving “high priority to children's personal, social and emotional development”.

Manager Paula Read said: “Everyone at Beenham Pre-School is so incredibly proud of this Ofsted report.

“But what means most to all of us is the recognition for the work we have done in supporting emotional health and well-being amongst Early Years children, as this is something which our whole team feels very passionate about.”

To further improve, the report recommends staff provide more support to engage younger children during group activities and to strengthen the ongoing coaching and support for newer staff.

The pre-school currently enrols 31 children aged two to four.

It operates from the community room situated at Beenham Primary School.
