Barclays put premier league trophy on display to celebrate move to Parkway
FOOTBALL fans dashing for cash in Newbury can get an eyeful of the Barclays Premier League Trophy, on display this afternoon at a the new branch of Barclays in Newbury after a lunchtime opening today (Friday).
The glittering trophy celebrates the formal opening of the state of the art new branch, situated in the Parkway, giving football fans a close up glimpse - and chance to have their photograph taken next to it.
The trophy is on display until around 4.15pm/4.30pm today (Fri), according to Barclays and following the official opening by Newbury MP Richard Benyon.
Paul Titterton, Barclays retail network regional director, for Newbury said: “The new branch embraces innovative technology and design which will enable our customers to interact with us in a way that suits them and in surroundings that are comfortable and accessible for all.”
Following a move from the bank's former Market Street premises, the new premises, he continued, while the investment confirmed Barclays commitment to Newbury and the surrounding region.
To celebrate the launch, activities in and around the branch will run throughout today, including Covent Garden style performances and free giveaways, with additional staff on hand to support the anticipated crowds.
