Pangbourne Primary School celebrates ‘Good’ Ofsted rating
Pangbourne Primary School is celebrating another ‘Good’ Ofsted rating following its recent inspection.
The inspection took place on February 28 and March 1 and resulted in the school achieveing its second ‘Good’ rating since July 2012.
The report commended the school in all areas, noting that pupils feel “safe and happy” and are “given lots of opportunities to learn about their mental and physical health.”
“We are very proud that Pangbourne Primary School continues to be a ‘Good’ school,” said headteacher, Melissa Fry.
“We are delighted with the report and that Ofsted recognised the good quality of education in the school.”
The inspector was satisfied that the senior leadership team and governers understand what the school needs to do improve further, added Mrs Fry.
One improvement includes providing additional learning support to help pupils catch up in certain subjects including reading and maths.
The report further reads: “Leaders should continue with their plans to develop assessment in the foundation subjects so that misconceptions are more routinely identified and corrected.”
Mrs Fry added: “I am so proud of the whole school community who have worked extremely hard to ensure that we provide such a good education for our children.”
