Prior's Court remembers staff who were killed in M4 crash between Hungerford and Newbury, 3 years ago
Prior's Court has posted a message on social media remembering the three members of staff who died when the school minibus they were travelling in was involved in a collision with a lorry on the M4 on October 11, 2018.
The minibus was carrying staff and pupils from the charity, which provides education and residential care for young people with complex autism aged between five-25.
Five staff and three young autistic adults, who were being supported to attend a regular work placement session, were injured in the crash, which happened on the eastbound carriageway between Hungerford and Chieveley.
Two of the staff members – Lorraine Maclellan and Jason Aleixo – died at the scene. The driver of the minibus, Catherine Gardiner, died the following day from her injuries.
Prior's Court posted a message of remembrance on Twitter on the anniversary of the crash, saying: "As ever, but especially on this date, we are thinking of all those who were impacted by this tragedy"
The post ends: "Cathy, Jason and Lorraine – always with us."
