Pub launches Taste Factor contest
The Taste of England pub in Turnpike Road is launching its own charity talent contest
HAVE you got the Taste Factor?
The Taste of England pub in Turnpike Road, Thatcham, is launching its own charity talent contest in the form of a karaoke competition.
Contestants pay £2 on the night, with all proceeds gong to The Rainbow Rooms, part of a special project organised by the Cancer Care Trust based at West Berkshire Hospital.
Round one kicks off with up to 60 seconds of the competitor's song of choice. The judges will listen and if they do not switch on their lights within that time, the singer is through to the next round.
The singers who have gone through from round one will sing a complete song and five winners will go through to the third and final round.
Each of these five gets to sing the final song and it is down to the audience to choose the overall competition winner.
The backing music is provided by the Rhythm n Booze Karaoke Machine and the event takes place on Saturday, February 5, from 7.30pm
