Public detained runaway horse in Aldermaston

A horse which escaped from a field caused mayhem for motorists this morning (Tuesday)

MEMBERS of the public helped to detain a runaway horse in Aldermaston this morning (Tuesday).

Police were called several times from about 8.30am after the white and brown horse escaped from a field and was spotted running into the road on the A4 Bath Road between Theale and Reading.

Thames Valley Police spokesman, Craig Evry, said that members of the public were able to help the horse back into a field and said: “It just kept running into the road and was quite spooked.”
