Pupils parade their royal wedding song
Children from the Willows School created their own song to mark the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William
PUPILS at a Newbury school have been busy parading their own special creation for the royal wedding.
Together with musician Tom Billington, children from the Willows School have this week made their own song for the happy couple, which they took to the streets yesterday (Thursday).
Following a street party in the school grounds, pupils and staff paraded along The Nightingales and sang their special song, attracting crowds of parents and locals on to the street to watch.
Deputy headteacher, Sarah Coxell, said it was a fantastic occasion for the pupils, adding that they had all enjoyed the day.
She said: "Great fun was had by all and it was a marvellous day."
Mrs Coxell added that it was great to involve the local community in the event, creating a community feeling around the occasion.
