Puppy walking roadshow trots into town
Newbury Guide Dogs charity are running the event in the Kennet Shopping centre on Thursday, June 28, from 9am until 3pm.
Local staff, volunteers and puppies will be on hand to talk about their involvement with the charity and what it is like to be a puppy walker.
A spokeswoman for Guide Dogs, Clare Burgess, said: “Puppy walking is so rewarding, having one of these incredible puppies living with you from when it is seven weeks old through to a year is such a brilliant way to volunteer.
“Volunteering is fun and rewarding - you know you are helping to make a real difference to the lives of blind and partially-sighted people.”
Anyone interested in volunteering for Guide Dogs is invited to attend or contact Guide Dogs' volunteering team on 0845 371 7771 or by emailing volunteer@guidedogs.org.uk.
